Critical Signs & Graphics

At Critical Signs, we pride ourselves on being a one-stop-shop for all your signage, trophy, and promotional product needs. Our journey began in 1999, when our founder, Shawn Monahan, started lettering race cars and occasionally working on commercial vehicles. Word of mouth referrals quickly spread, and our business thrived.

As our business grew, so did our services. In 2002, Shawn opened our first commercial location in Waterford, Connecticut. His brother, James, joined forces to expand our services to include screen printing and embroidery. We continued to grow, and our property in Waterford sold. We relocated to a larger shop in Groton, but eventually returned to our hometown, where we now operate from a 4,500-square-foot industrial space on Route 85.

Our team is passionate about providing top-notch service and ensuring that every project meets our customers' expectations. Our team consists of:
