Our Story

Bruce Ottway opened the doors to Ottway Signs in 1977 as a family owned and operated sign shop. Bruce had a long love for art and he knew his calling was to fill a niche in the sign world. From pin-striping to custom signs Ottway Signs quickly became well known for their unique craftsmanship. We specialize in custom signs as well as vehicle wraps, billboards and monument signs. We take pride with treating our customer's the way we would like to be treated and with over 40 years of experience you can rest easy knowing the crew at Ottway Signs can lead you in the right direction for all your signage needs.

Our Founders

Bruce Ottway, the founder of Ottway Signs, began his journey in the sign world in 1977. Through all his hard work, he made the strong foundation that the company is built upon. In 2018, Bruce retired and spends his days enjoying motorcycle rides around the country, working on the family farm as well as the occasional design work for fun on the side.

Chase Ottway, Bruce's son, began his work in the sign shop at a very young age helping Bruce. After graduating from West Kentucky Technical College in 2008, Chase joined Bruce full time. This Father-Son team quickly grew the business to one of the leading sign companies in the area. Chase is now the owner of Ottway Signs and continues to expand the business with his wife Megan.

Megan Ottway, Chase's wife, married Chase in 2014 after graduating from Murray State University with a Bachelor's degree in Business and Marketing. She joined the team in 2017 and the couple has taken Ottway Signs to the next level.

Our Work

Over the years, Ottway Signs has had the privilege of working on numerous projects for a variety of clients. Some of our notable projects include:

• Welcome to Murray: A urethane sandblasted background featuring custom fabricated Gold Leaf Letters by Mike Facemire. Border and secondary copy painted with enamel.
• Ottway Signs Custom Fabricated: Handcrafted individual LED backlit letters by Chase Ottway and Trey Travis for the new shop.
• First Christian Church: Urethane sandblasted background to simulate stone featuring Gold Leaf Letters. The cup is hand cut out Alucobond mounted on stand-offs.
• Christians at Antioch: Urethane sandblasted background to simulate stone and wood. Latex hand painted background with enamel painted graphics and lettering.
