Our Story

Healdsburg Signs, Inc. was founded by Jim Lago in 1981. With a natural talent for design and a deep understanding of customer needs, Jim has established himself as one of the most sought-after sign designers and consultants in the North Bay. Over the years, our company has produced thousands of signs, many of which have landmark or historical status.

Jim is joined by his wife, Tami Lago, who serves as the chief financial controller and estimator. She is dedicated to ensuring that all aspects of the business are run smoothly and efficiently. She also takes on a motherly role towards the employees, treating them as her own.

Kyle Way, who started working with us in 2005, has risen through the ranks to become the shop manager. He is a hard-working, no-nonsense individual who is deeply committed to providing the best possible service to our customers.

Mike Dale, who has been with us since 1997, is the shop's craftsman. He has an uncanny ability to understand all things mechanical and is responsible for operating and maintaining the production equipment. He is also skilled at creating our signature dimensional signs.

Erin Lago-Dericco, Jim's daughter, is a talented designer who has worked in the shop since she was a child. She is responsible for creating most of the sign designs and has developed into an excellent graphic designer. She has a knack for creating visually appealing products that are also effective from a distance.

Joe Brumell, a fine young man with great character, is dedicated to creating the best possible product. He works hard every day, creating masterpieces with his partners in fabrication.
