Nestled in the picturesque mountains of west-central Pennsylvania, Stineman Ribbon & Trophy Co. has been a testament to family tradition and unwavering dedication for over six and a half decades. Since its inception, our company has held fast to the belief that the highest quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship are essential to creating awards that truly reflect the spirit of achievement. With a loyal customer base spanning all 50 states and numerous countries around the world, we continue to uphold the core values instilled by our founder, Evan Stineman, providing every customer, regardless of size or scale, with personalized service, competitive pricing, and products of exceptional quality.

The Journey Begins

Evan, a passionate Beagle breeder and seasoned competitor in field trials, recognized a need for insurance and supplies catering specifically to the unique demands of dog enthusiasts. Upon his return from service in World War II, he established a general merchandise store in South Fork, Pennsylvania, alongside a dog insurance service.

With the unwavering support of his wife, Margaret, and a dedicated team of employees, the business swiftly expanded to encompass trophies, ribbons, and rosettes, recognizing a growing demand for high-quality awards within the canine community and beyond. Evan and Margaret's son, Harvey, joined the family business in 1959, bringing with him valuable experience gained from serving in the Army and graduating from Penn State with a degree in Dairy Management. The company, having outgrown its original location, moved to a newly constructed building on the outskirts of South Fork, ready to embark on a new chapter of growth and innovation.

Carrying the Torch Forward

In 1985, Jean Stineman McCormick, inspired by her parents' entrepreneurial spirit and graduated from Penn State with a degree in Psychology, stepped into the role of business owner, inheriting a legacy built on dedication and customer satisfaction. The company continued to flourish under Jean's leadership, expanding product lines to include felt and leather banners, responding to the evolving needs of their diverse clientele.

The year 2005 marked a significant milestone with the establishment of Stineman Awards, a separate division dedicated to trophies and engraving, spearheaded by Jean's sister, Susan Stineman Bernecky, and her husband, Raymond. Staying true to family tradition, Jean's sons, Michael, a graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Forest Management, and Adam, a graduate of Penn State, have joined the company ranks, bringing fresh perspectives and ensuring the legacy continues for generations to come.
